Status of public environmental datasets
This is a record of specific public datasets we cite, and whether they are still reachable at the address we cited. Status is assigned by checking the canonical URL on the date shown in “last verified”: available — the dataset loads at its canonical URL; moved — it loads at a different URL, recorded here; degraded — it loads but with fewer series, a shorter time range, or a broken download; retired — it no longer loads and no successor URL was published. Each row records what changed and when. We draw no conclusions beyond that.
Mirrors listed here are the work of archiving projects, not ours. We index and link to them: EDGI (Environmental Data & Governance Initiative) and the Internet Archive.
